About Me

Working in the digital marketing industry for over 7 years, I've worked for leading digital agencies as a web developer and Account Manager looking after key client's websites, Search Engine Optimisation and all round online strategy.

I love it! Getting in to devising how companies can make the most of their website(s) and streamlining them down for a great user experience and better performance / Conversion rate.

Account Management

Working at leading digital agency Rippleffect maintaining client relationships, upselling agency services and managing digital strategies from conception though the project to completion.

I managed key clients such as Redrow Homes, Keepmoat Homes, Bolton Wanders FC, CCI Distribution, John Norris and Insurance Insider

Development Experience

My career started on the technical side as a web developer and even though I've worked in Account Management, I have never stepped away from programming. Freelancing through my career so far, I have maintained a solid programming knowledge. Currently, my language of choice is Ruby with the Ruby on Rails framework.

With so many languages, databases and frameworks out their I have experience in ASP (Yuck), PHP, Ruby on Rails, Sinatra, xHTML, CSS, JQuery, SASS, HAML, MySql, MongoDb, RSpec, Cucumber and git

Analytics Experience

It quickly became clear to me when devising client strategies and optimising their website that Analytics is key to identifying key performing / under performing areas.

With a Google Analytics Individual Qualification, I have experience of setting up tracking large complex websites to ensure actionable data can be obtained.
